The Westboro Baptist Church

I am of the opinion that there is a difference between those of us who are against gay marriage, and those of us who are against gay people.
The former, I can tolerate, possibly even be good friends with. Being against gay marriage is simply opinion, and you're entitled to your opinion.
But if you're against gay people (*ahem* Westboro Baptist Church *ahem*)...
FUCK OFF.
It's not a choice, so for you to be against another human being over something they can't control is fucking stupid.
And then to be against those people at MILITARY FUNERALS is... It's... beyond words because there are no words for that sort of disregard of another human being's feelings. You can have your political viewpoint, you can have your bigotry and your homophobia, and you can even have your protests. But at a funeral? Really?
Why don't I go protest at a funeral for one of your congregation members? I can make signs that say, "God hates the WBC," and get a whole bunch of people to come with me and we can yell when you drive by and interrupt your grieving process.
Or maybe I won't. Maybe I'll just give you the respect you deserve as another human being.
And maybe you'll try doing the same one day.
